JOHN BRYSON, U.S. SECRETARY OF COMMERCE VISITED PAVILION FURNITURE

Miami based Pavilion Furniture was recently visited by U.S. Secretary of Commerce John Bryson. Pavilion was chosen and praised based on its success as a manufacturer of U.S. product and its initiatives in selling U.S. product to the world market. Pavilion has just completed trips to both Panama and Hong Kong in which they worked closely with the U.S. Department of Commerce to establish new contacts to support export opportunities in those regions.

Secretary Bryson spoke of recent initiatives to assist American manufacturers to compete both domestically against import product and internationally with exports.  Mr. Bryson stressed how important the U.S. manufacturing sector is in creating jobs and bolstering the overall U.S. economy.

Michael Buzzella, President and CEO of Pavilion told the audience of Pavilion's long history and dedication to building quality U.S. product and the employees who have contributed to Pavilion's success both domestically and abroad.  He emphasized a growing worldwide demand for American made product and stressed that Pavilion was aggressively seeking new markets to combat a sluggish domestic economy.

Attending the event was Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, Miami Gardens Mayor Shirley Gibson, Miami-DadeCommissioner Barbara Jordan, Director/ U.S. Commercial Service Mr. Eduardo Torres, Commercial Officer / U.S.Commercial Service South Florida Mr. Keith Silver.  Also in attendance were numerous government and support agencies as well as local businesses and services supporting the manufacture of U.S. product.
