CHARLES AND RAY EAMES: DESIGNED THEIR WAY THROUGH HISTORY

Charles and Ray Eames have their names glorified in the history of architecture and furniture design industry for their timeless and revolutionary contribution to the field. Charles, an architect and Ray, a painter are the creators of some of the most iconic furniture designs in the world and also hold recognition for their remarkable work in graphic designing, industrial designing and films. Even decades after their death and significant industrial and technological development their works continue to inspire the work of contemporary designers and garner laurels for its elemental and innovative designs. Many of their classic designs have been framed for posterity in movies and television shows and most of it are a part of permanent collection of design museums across continents.

"For them, the names like 'painter' and 'architect'—they weren't job descriptions. They were ways of looking at the world."

The eternal collaboration of Charles and Ray began after their marriage in 1941. Prior to their marriage they both had established themselves in the design and architecture world individually.
